The conductors and motormen on street cars are sometimes put to con siderable trouble and delay by the actions of little boys who appear on the side of the track and make signs for the cars to stop When the cars slack up, the little fellows run off, unter the impression that a good joke has been perpetrated. This is quite a serious matter, because it is impossible for the conductors to know whether to stop or not, and of course if parties desire to get aboard and the cars do not 6top they are very much vexed.
